Erosion protection with the use of native shrubbery. The purpose was to stop some amount of rain water going down the slopes during storms and especially to detain run of soil and stones. In the beginning of 90. heavy storm caused flooding in Kromolow with 2m of water covering the streets and brought boulders, gravel and a lot of sand. Problem was due to lack of wood on surrounding hills and agriculture keeping flat surface of the ground, unable to retain water from heavy rains. Investor changed scope of design by the use of ornamental shrubs during construction.
